DIESEL ENGINE TEST

This evaluation was carried out by Vipac Engineers & Scientists Ltd. on a SUV diesel engine onboard a vehicle. The CUEDC series of drive cycles were developed from data collected during actual driving conditions and take the form of 1794 seconds broken up into four distinct phases Congested, Residential Arterial, and Highway. The two tests used the same driver and were run on regular pump grade diesel.

The first of the two tests was undertaken with the vehicle in standard showroom condition. This was followed immediately by a second comparative test with the Fitch Fuel Catalyst installed between filter and injector pump. In other words the vehicle did not have its fuel tank filled, topped off, or replenished between the tests. The fitting of the Fitch unit was the only change made to the vehicle.
